ShakeBugs utilizes AWS as our cloud service provider. Our servers dynamically scale up and down based on usage demands, meaning we do not have static IP addresses. Because of this dynamic infrastructure, we cannot provide fixed IP addresses for whitelisting purposes. This is an important consideration if your security protocols require specific IPs to be whitelisted.

ShakeBugs supports integration with both Jira Server and Jira Cloud. However, if you're using Jira Data Center on-premise, here’s what you need to know:

  • Jira Server: ShakeBugs integrates smoothly with Jira Server by connecting directly to your server’s base URL.

  • Jira Cloud: Integration with Jira Cloud is also supported, allowing seamless communication between ShakeBugs and your cloud-hosted JIRA instance.

  • Jira Data Center: While ShakeBugs is primarily tested with Jira Server and Jira Cloud, it should also work with Jira Data Center. The key difference is that instead of the server’s base URL, you would use the base URL of your load balancer when setting up the connection. However, please note that while this method should function similarly, it has not been fully tested with Jira Data Center.

Important Consideration:
As with any setup involving dynamic IPs and load balancers, providing a static IP address from ShakeBugs is not possible due to the dynamic nature of our cloud infrastructure.
