To get started with Shake’s Chrome Extension, you first need to install it from the Chrome Web Store.
Install the extension
Go to the Shake Chrome Extension page
Click Add to Chrome
After installation, pin the extension to your toolbar for easier access
Once installed and pinned, click the Shake icon in your browser to open the extension.
Using the Shake UI
After you take a screenshot (you can also upload additional screenshots or videos), the Shake UI will open and guide you through the process of submitting a ticket.
You’ll see a set of tools to annotate the screenshot:
Pen, Circle, and Rectangle — highlight exactly what’s going on
Color picker — adjust the color of your annotations
Clear, Select, and Blur — clean up or hide sensitive areas
Below your screenshot, you’ll find the Submit to section:
Choose a specific project from your Shake Dashboard
Or select Just a link I can share to generate a public ticket URL
Then, choose a ticket type:
Bug report
Question
Suggestion for improvement
Add more context in the Description field.
At the bottom of the screen, there are two additional buttons:
Report a problem or suggest an improvement — send feedback to the Shake team
Open my Dashboard — go straight to your Shake workspace
